Kanaki is well known in Malta for its filo sheets. Thin and extremely flexible sheets of dough that can be shaped in many different forms. You can fold it, roll it, layer it using olive oil and fill it with the filling of your choice. Once baked, Kanaki Filo Pastry becomes crispy and golden brown. Its delicate taste will enhance the flavour of the filling you have chosen to envelop. You can use it for savoury and for sweet recipes.
