The very first SNICKERS Bar, allegedly named after a horse, was manufactured in Chicago and sold for five cents. In the United Kingdom, the Snickers bar is called the Marathon bar, and following this introduction to the UK, Snickers fun size was introduced in 1968 followed by an increase levels worldwide.

In 1989, Snickers Ice Cream is also introduced to increase satisfaction in a frozen form too.
